It provides an overview of the military skills trials the patrols shall complete during the competition. They are listed in alphabetical order.
The trials may be modifed upon staff's decision, either due to and some trial may be canceled.

• Area Reconnaissance (Hostile Cache) [Techical/Practical]
• Check of the Equipment / Check of the Orders of Operations [Technical/ Conceptual]
• Combat First Aid [Techical/Practical]
• Commando March [Physical]
• Convoy Escort [Techical/Practical]
• NBC [Techical/Practical]
• Night Observation / NVG [Techical/Practical]
• Observation / Map Reading [Techical/Practical]
• Obstacle Course [Physical]
• OP / Route Control [Techical/Practical]
• Patrolling (orienteering march with recognition of weapons and equipments) [Physical/Technical]
• Rappelling / Fast Rope Descent [Physical/Technical]
• Signal / Allied Communication Procedures (ACP) [Techical/Practical]
• Time [Physical] The following shooting trials will take place on Friday, before the campaign phase. Modification may be introduced.

• Shooting, rifle 7.62 x51mm. NATO
• Shooting, rifle 5.56 x45mm. NATO
• Shooting, pistol 9 mm.
• Sniper shooting, Tikka T3 Tactical

Please note that the International Military Patrol Competition "Lombardia" is always focused on the military skills more than on the physical performances of the competitors.
The references for the skills required to adequately fullfill the task required during the trials are the basic field manuals of the NATO armies. Normal reference will be made to both Italian Army Staff publications and US Army field manuals Special equipments are requested as in the competition rules, which may also be found on the website above.

Alcuni suggerimenti per chi desidera partecipare alla competizione / Some suggestions for competition participants:

1. Per chi viene in aereo, si consiglia per la vicinanza ai luoghi chiave di atterrare all'aeroporto di Malpensa / for who is coming via airplane, it is recommended to land in Malpensa airport, the nearest to the competition and the ceremony sites.
   
2. Per chi usufruisce dell'alloggio campale previsto, è consigliabile portare le proprie brandine da campo. For who is going to use our camp tents, it is better to take with you your own camp beds
3. per chi desidera alloggiare in hotel, sul sito ci sono quelli più vicini al luogo della gara / for who is going to lodge in hotel, in the website you may find the hotel lists nearest to the Headquarters --> follow the path
